Our Story

The Great Room’s story began in Singapore in 2015, in response to a shift in the narrative around how we work. We were inspired by the demand for a more holistic space in which to conduct business – the desire for somewhere to think, create and network rather than merely get things done. Noting concerns about fast-developing technology enabling a new generation of remote workers but increasing a sense of isolation, we were galvanized to create a communal space that would mitigate the risks of loneliness and allow a new generation of self-starters to network with likeminded businesspeople.

The Great Room has managed to stand out as one of the best coworking spaces by creating a certain taste level, we were confident we’d attract members who shared not only professional synergies, but also, similar standards and perspectives. And that’s precisely what’s occurred.
